I am absolutely over the moon to announce that I’ve won a place in the final line-up of The Mumpreneur Awards, a national annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents throughout the UK. Lisa has been shortlisted for the Champion category, which is open to charities and non-profit organisations. I’ve been nominated for an award for the charitable work I do with Frankie’s Legacy. 3000 nominations were received for this year’s Mumpreneur Awards and incredibly I am one of approximately 110 finalists who have been shortlisted out of the 3000 to win an award in 11 categories.
As well as being shortlisted for the Champion category. I’m also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2014, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize.
I was amazed when I received an email saying I’d been nominated for a Mumpreneur UK award in the Champion category for my charitable work with Frankie’s Legacy, and I was even more surprised and extremely honoured when I found out I had been selected as a finalist. Finding out I’m a finalist in these awards has helped me feel like I am a proper mother, I miss my son very much and wish every day that he was with me, but the work I do with Frankie’s Legacy means that his memory will never die and all parents to be will benefit from the fundraising we are doing to improve the delivery suite facilities at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital. I’m delighted to have been recognised for my achievements with Frankie’s Legacy and I’m really excited to find out if I’ve won the award.
My entry will be judged by a panel of top entrepreneurs, so I’m really nervous! The winners will be announced at The Mumpreneur UK 2014 Conference and Awards, a prestigious event being held at the Heart of England Centre in Warwickshire on Saturday 8th November 2014.
